The purpose of the timeline is to visually show when you were actively on the computer. Your timeline will also visually show your Focus, Meeting, and Break Sessions throughout your day.
The large purple blocks show periods of time you active on the computer. The gaps between those purple blocks represent when you were inactive or taking a break.
The first line below the purple blocks represent Focus and Meeting Sessions that occurred during the day. The second line below the timeline shows your calendar events for any calendar integrations that you've pinned. The bottom axis shows the hours of the current day in your timezone.

Be sure that you've set the correct timezone in Rize. You can view and update this setting in Settings > General > Time Zone.
You can choose to represent time in a 24-Hour format or AM/PM format. You can view and update this setting in Settings > General > 24-Hour Time Format.
Your timeline range is the number of hours of the day that are shown in your daily dashboard. You can view and update this setting in Settings > General > Timeline Range.
