In this chapter, we will cover all of the ways you can ensure that your tracked is categorized exactly how you want it. This section covers the following topics:

Categorizing Apps & Websites

Accuracy is one of the defining features of Rize. You can customize how you want to track and categorize apps and websites without having to invest time upfront.

Rize comes with a large number of existing categorization rules for apps and websites. If Rize does not contain a rule for an app or website it categorized as *“*Miscellaneous”. We recommend against categorizing apps and websites in the “Miscellaneous” category. It’s not worth your time.

If you spend enough time in a “Miscellaneous” app or website, Rize will recategorize that app or website as “Uncategorized”. If you have “Uncategorized” apps or websites for a specific day, you’ll see a button appear on the Home dashboard. Click on it to open a modal where you can categorize all “Uncategorized” apps and websites.
